About Helen

I envision a future where empathy, collaboration, and innovation define the systems that shape our lives. A future where equity isn’t an aspiration—it’s a lived reality.

My Journey

My path began in social work, where I learned the power of connection and community. With advanced degrees in psychiatry, I delved into the complexities of mental health, policy-making, and early illness prevention, bringing a holistic perspective to health and equity.

As a researcher and leader, I’ve spearheaded initiatives that redefine care delivery, including co-founding Students Advocating for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (SAFE) at McGill University.

My work with the World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Centres in Canada and India contributed to mental health service design, policies, and family-centered care models. Most recently, my research informed Quebec’s learning health system metrics (in early psychosis), paving the way for a national transformation in healthcare delivery.

Now, I’m expanding my horizons by exploring the world of venture capital and finance—new tools to drive sustainable, scalable impact.

My WHY: Empowering Equity, Inspiring Change

I believe in a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their circumstances. My purpose is to challenge inequities, ignite innovation, and champion inclusion.

Through my expertise in healthcare, social work, and leadership, I bring people together to unlock potential and create bold solutions. I am guided by the philosophy that “ordinary is the new extraordinary” and the conviction that “together, we rise.”

How This Shapes My Work

In healthcare: I champion patient-centered care by integrating diverse perspectives and aligning stakeholders toward common goals.

In equity and inclusion: I amplify marginalized voices, dismantle systemic barriers, and drive organizational change through research and leadership.

In thought leadership: I explore innovative solutions, challenge assumptions, and build sustainable pathways for transformation.

My mission is to uplift lives by empowering people with the tools to thrive at the intersection of social work, healthcare, education, equity, and finance. I believe financial security is a cornerstone of transformation, enabling individuals to focus their energy on creating meaningful change.

I am driven to marry the worlds of science, human connection, and finance, recognizing that innovation happens when disciplines converge. My ultimate goal? Elevating lives and fostering transformation at both individual and systemic levels.
